Established under the auspices of the Groton-Dunstable Alliance for Youth (www.g-day.org), the GD Outdoor Family Network was conceived to serve as an information sharing resource for families who seek opportunities to achieve quality family time through fun, outdoor activities in the many open spaces located in and around the towns of Groton and Dunstable, MA. In addition to promoting quality family time ("Families that play together, stay together!"), we aim to encourage healthy, active lifestyles for kids and their families. We enjoy and share information covering a wide range of outdoor family activities...essentially anything that gets us off the couch and into the great outdoors! This online resource was established to allow our members to post notices about outdoor recreational events in our area, broadcast announcements about ad hoc group outings (e.g., group hikes, mountain bike rides, etc.), and share useful resources (trail maps, GPS tracks, etc.) to make our adventures into the outdoors more enjoyable.
